After you pay, if you find that Tax Chopper has not given you the maximum refund or least balance due, we will refund your service fee in full.
We are very proud that, since we declared this guarantee, every client has received the maximum refund.
Unlike some competitors’ declarations that only their services can utilize mysterious breaks hiding from tax forms, the fact is quite the opposite: every time a client asks us about why Tax Chopper calculates a larger refund than others, we point out that we are completely FOLLOWING the tax laws, the alternative services who give lower refund simply do not apply the appropriate rules.
Whenever asked, we always explain to the clients how we have calculated their returns and where the related publications are located on the CRA web site.

If you find our software does not give you your maximum refund, even after you have filed your return, we will still return your service fee. Some conditions apply, the conditions are:

  1. You have entered all required information into the software – our support is always there to help you achieve this.
  2. The alternative calculation complies with the tax rules and gives you an increased benefit.
  3. You have raised the issue within 90 days after you have paid for your return.

After TaxChopper calculated your taxes, did you find that our results gave you a larger refund or less balance owing than others and you can’t believe it? You are not alone. Don’t worry about accepting the refund – just take it!
If the CRA applies a penalty or interest to you because of an error in our calculations, we will reimburse your service fee as well as the penalty and interest applied by the CRA (excluding your taxes owing).
